Anti-Stepbrother by Tijan
Published: August 22nd 2016
He told me to ‘settle, girl.’
He asked if ‘something was wrong with me?’
He said I was an ‘easy target.’
That was within minutes when I first met Caden Banks.
I labeled him an *sshole, but he was more than that. Arrogant. Smug. Alpha.
He was also to-die-for gorgeous, and my stepbrother’s fraternity brother.
Okay, yes I was a little naive, a tad bit socially awkward, and the smallest amount of stalker-ish, but if Caden Banks thought he could tell me what to do, he had another thing coming.
I came to college with daydreams about being with my stepbrother, but what would happen if I fell for the anti-stepbrother instead?
Kevin was kissing another girl. And he wasn’t just kissing her–he was inhaling her.
When you saw your stepbrother kissing another girl, and you’ve been in love with the said stepbrother for years… you run. But make sure to bump into the hottest fraternity guy–Caden. Caden Banks. Beautiful Caden Banks.
Summer Stoltz is a college freshman who’ve been crushing and pining for her stepbrother for years, even before her dad married Kevin’s mom. When she entered college, she hoped to finally be together with him. But sometimes some things don’t go well as planned. Especially when dear stepbrother end up being a big jerk and he has a scorching hot fraternity brother who always appear in the right place at the right moment, and saving her butt every single time. So, who is Caden Banks? He’s the Anti-Stepbrother.
I always love angsty books! Books that can make my heart race. Books that can make my heart hurt and flutter at the same time. These feelings I get from a book are one of the nicest and certainly one of the best things I love about reading. This is why I love Tijan’s books. Whenever I will dive into her stories, it’s like preparing myself for the next trainwreck. The adrenaline is too high, it’s almost intoxicating.
Along with the college drama, the characters in this book also cope up with past hurts and unresolved family issues that has always been one of the interesting flavors in Tijan’s books. At times, it was heartbreaking and sad, but there was never a lack of sexiness throughout the story. Though I expected to be blown away, I wasn’t prepared for the different waves of emotions as the characters played around friendship, brotherhood, love and family drama. I also appreciate that this book wasn’t an instalove romance, but a growing friendship with a simmering love underneath. There were many good things I loved about this book, but mostly I loved Caden’s character. He surprised me the most. I thought he was a bad guy with a good heart, but no, he was a good guy with a big heart. Caden Banks is one freaking hot guy. Caden and Summer is a tandem to watch out for. You’ll love this couple and you’ll wish there was more! I don’t think Caden and Summer are made for just a single novel. I believe they are cut for more and bigger stories. I want a second book! It was like reading Mason and Sam from Fallen Crest but different. And it’s a good kind of different. It just have this familiar feel, the same feel I get from Fallen Crest Series. Readers who enjoy Tijan’s books will surely enjoy this one. I just loved this book! I read it in less than a day!
Anti-Stepbrother will bring you to a world of college drama, fraternity and brotherhood, where there are lies and betrayals but also where unexpected friendship and love may be found. It was a one wild roller coaster ride.
About the Author
I didn’t begin writing until after undergraduate college. There’d been storylines and characters in my head all my life, but it came to a boiling point one day and I HAD to get them out of me. So the computer was booted up and I FINALLY felt it click. Writing is what I needed to do. After that, I had to teach myself how to write. I can’t blame my teachers for not teaching me all those years in school. It was my fault. I was one of the students that was wishing I was anywhere but at school! So after that day, it took me lots of work until I was able to put together something that resembled a novel. I’m hoping I got it right since someone must be reading this profile! And I hope you keep enjoying my future stories.
